I made a video showcasing the growth of my crested gecko Silva (more than a year old) and my Argentine Black And White Tegu (almost a year old)
Introducing my crested gecko little Silva and my argentine black and white tegu Mago and their journey with me so far. Little Silva was born around December 17th 2017 (the breeder was not 100% sure) and I got her January 6th 2018. Mago was born on July 29th 2018 in the Netherlands, I picked him up August 24th 2018. More than 400 files were sorted to make this video, so I hope you enjoy it – and please watch their progress as they were not in their right setups in the beginning (especially Silva, I changed the aquarium within a few days).
Oh, and as “cute” as Mago might seem, I will not recommend him to all animal lovers. It was a big step up from a crested gecko (and a few corn snakes when I was younger). It has been a personal battle for me to get him to where he is now. I was afraid he was going to “hate” me at first and was afraid to get bitten, it took months for us to get where we are now. He has bitten me before when he was around 2 months old, and he has bitten a few family members later on. It took around 6 months for him to be as calm as he is now. So please, think about it before you get a tegu. Not everyone will be as sweet as you see on the internet, some might never tame down, they are very smart and have different personalities.
